We averaged about 2 miles an hour and we were 3.5 hours to cabin but about 5 hours to hike out on the Halemau’u trail. I am not in very good shape and the trail out has about a 1000ft climb. Trail was excellent and beautiful but if the sun is out it is hot. Take lots of sunscreen and water.
